| | | To ensure levels of very high-quality at more competitive prices than French peers: it is one of the winning characteristics of Italian wine. This is underlined also by “Wine-Searcher”, which drafted its classification of 2024 “The best Italian wines”, taking into consideration the mix of evaluations and the average prices of bottles belonging to different years of the same wine. At the absolute top is the Brunello di Montalcino Madonna delle Grazie by Il Marroneto, followed by legends such as Frescobaldi’s Masseto, Antinori’s Solaia, and top wines from wineries such as Fontodi, Casanova di Neri, G. B. Burlotto, Sandrone, Tenuta San Guido, Roagna and Avignonesi. | |

Some of the wineries selected: Piedmont’s Barolo and the excellent wines of the Langhe, brands such as Ceretto and Cogno, Bruno Giacosa and G.B. Burlotto, Luciano Sandrone, Pio Cesare and Prunotto. | | “I am the 47th Usa president. We will stop wars. It will be the golden age for the Usa”. In this way, Donald Trump communicated, who triumphed at Usa elections for Republicans. An election, that, obviously, will have consequences in many fields and along many international routes, at which all the world looks. And, with its peculiar perspective, Italian wine looks at it. And that, all in all, Trump did great during its first presidency, with tricolor bottles “saved” by imposed duties to European, and particularly French productions at 25%, in the longstanding debate between Airbus and Boeing. It is factual data that, Donald Trump threatened new duties on many European products and not only, in order to protect American industrial production. It remains to be seen whether this promise becomes reality, but it is anything but improbable. | |

| | | The best wine to keep in the cellar and age released on the market this year is, once again, Italian: it is Barbaresco 2016 Don Fiorino Riserva by Produttori del Barbaresco that is No. 1 in the “Top 100 Cellar Selection” by “Wine Enthusiast” (with the wine from the famous Langa signature repeating the success achieved in 2023, at the same position, by Brunello di Montalcino 2018 from Poggio di Sotto of the ColleMassari Group, led by Claudio Tipa). A peculiar wine from the Barbaresco cooperative, dedicated to Don Fiorino, the parish priest who, in 1958, inspired and guided the 19 farmers who founded Produttori del Barbaresco, and which is on the podium along with Rutherford’s Quintessa 2021 from Napa Valley and Charles Heidsieck’s Champagne Blanc des Millénaires Brut 2014. A ranking, that of the famous American magazine (Jeff Porter and Danielle Callegari are the signatures from Italy), that rewards, as always, a lot of Italy (18 labels on the list) and its classicism, represented by territories or individual wineries that of the longevity of the wines have made their stylistic signature. They are signed by wineries such as Oddero, Giacomo Fenocchio, Trediberri, Pieropan, Brezza, Inama, Aresca, Barone Pizzini, Le Macchiole, Terlano, Mazzei, Masseto, Bertani, Borgogno, Ca’ del Bosco, Sandrone and Il Borro. | |

| | | The name of the first “official” label of Lorenzo Cherubini will be “Teresina”, as a tribute to his daughter Teresa: the grapes come from the vineyards of his wine company, located in Cortona, but the responsibility to produce the wine is up to Montevertine. The singer, who has always shown proud of himself on social media while harvesting, haven’t made his adventure as a wine producer official yet. Now, thanks to the collaboration with Filippo Polidori, acts seriously, and he shares with his followers on Instagram the project, a pure Sangiovese arising in the upcoming years. | |

| | The Nitto ATP Finals, the “tournament of the masters”, returns to Turin (10-17 November), ready to show off in indoor fields. But it will be also a tournament with “bubbles” because they will toast with Asti Docg, the oldest denomination of sparkling wine in Italy, which is confirmed “Official Sparkling Wine” and “Silver Partner” of the event. From the rectangular field of play, Asti Spumante and Moscato d’Asti will celebrate the victories of tennis players, combining also the collateral activities of the Consortium. “Our collaboration with Atp – commented the director of Asti Docg Consortium Giacomo Pondini - allows us to match Asti brand to the world of sport, expanding, in this way, the audience of wine enthusiasts, and potential new customers that we can reach. This partnership will continue also in 2025”. | |

| | Spanish wine company Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal is the most beautiful company in the world, whilst Tenuta Cavalier Pepe, which ranks at position No. 14 in the world classification, is the most beautiful in Italy. But in the Top 50 there are also Italian wineries Ceretto (No. 20 position), Castello Banfi (No. 22), and Tenuta Castelbuono (Lunelli) at No. 25 position, the highest new entry. These are the judgments of prestigious “World’s Best Vineyards 2024”, which every year awards the best 50 wine destinations in the world (in more detail).
