Ocm Wine Promotion, here is the ranking
13 promotion projects in third countries, for an EU contribution of 28 million euros that, with the capital of companies, will activate investments of 68.4 million euros: this is the ranking of the projects approved and financed under the national quota (30 million euros out of 100, with 70 managed by the Regions) of the Ocm Vino, published by the Agricultural Policies (by WineNews rumors, appeals are already coming on multiregional projects, ed.). With a note: the importance of Ocm funds for promotion is unquestionable. However, since they are public funds, it would be appropriate for the institutions, while publishing the rankings, to make available the list of actual beneficiaries of these funds. If it is a winery, a consortium or a known group, it is easier to trace the names and surnames.

Ca’ del Bosco and Ferrari at the top
The “Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships” 2019, the most prestigious competition dedicated to sparkling wines, conceived by Tom Stevenson, crowned, for the third time, Ferrari, leader of Trentodoc, as “Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year”, while his enologist, Ruben Larentis, received the “Lifetime Achievement Award”. Italy receives many awards, starting with the “Best Italian Sparkling Wine” 2019, to the magnum Franciacorta Annamaria Clementi 2009 by Ca’ del Bosco, which also won the “Best Franciacorta”. Important awards, because, as Maurizio Zanella, at the head of the Franciacorta label, says, “the judgment of the critics shows that we are working in the right direction, that of quality. We are relatively young, we lack tradition and culture to be able to compare ourselves to realities like that of Champagne, but we reduced the gap by working on innovation”. Italy has also excelled in the categories “Sparkling Aromatic Wine” 2019 with the Asti Cuvage by Acquesi, “Sparkling Red Wine” 2019 with the Lambrusco Reggiano Il Campanone 2018 by Lombardini, “Classic Rosé” 2019 with Ferrari’s Perlé Rosé 2013, “Classic Blanc de Noirs” 2019 with Ferrari’s magnum Perlé Nero 2010 and “Classic Brut Non-Vintage Blend” 2019 with Franciacorta Brut by Lantieri de Paratico.
